Bohemian Grove is a large encampment in Monte Rio, Califonia, on over 2500 acres of land. The news regarding American politics has been tainted by corruption for too long.

Bohemian Grove is owned by the Bohemian Club, a men's club in San Francisco with some of the most elite membership in the world. The Grove hosts various events, the largest being a three week camp in July.

In addition to the hosted events, members can reserve the Grove for private use when there is not an event going on. When there are not hosted events, members are allowed to bring their families to the Grove, but the women and children are not allowed to be on property after 10 pm.

Members are occasionally allowed to bring a guest to a hosted event, but the guest must be subjected to extensive screening before being allowed to visit the Grove for one of the events.

MEMBERSHIP

A person may ask themselves how they could go to Bohemian Grove California. The answer would be that they would have to be a member of the Bohemian Club. Unfortunately, it isn't a club which you can simply go into and fill out a form signing for your membership.

In order to become a member of the Bohemian Club, you would need to have a sponsorship, not from one member, but from two. In addition to the sponsorship, you would also need to pay a 25,000 dollar initiation fee and yearly dues to the club. This is a little steep for most people, and the ones who can afford it are unlikely to have the right contacts.

Membership of the club has extended to CEOs of powerful companies, including banks, utilities, oil and military. The membership has included every president of the United States of America from the Republican party since 1923.

With some of the most powerful people in the world meeting at Bohemian Grove California, a person would wonder what kind of decisions are being made. Supposedly, the members are not supposed to be discussing business while at Bohemian Grove.

Even though the members are not supposed to discuss business, the Grove is known to have been the meeting place to plan the Manhattan Project in 1942. For those unfamiliar with the Manhattan Project, it led to the development of the atomic bomb.

WHAT GOES ON

Nobody can be sure what exactly goes on at Bohemian Grove California except for the members who attend the functions. Former President Bill Clinton had an interesting take on what happens at the Grove. He stated:

"The Bohemian club! Did you say Bohemian club? That's where all those rich Republicans go up and stand naked against redwood trees right? I've never been to the Bohemian club, but you oughta go. It'd be good for you. You'd get some fresh air."

It is doubtful that this really occurs at Bohemian Grove, but unless you have been there, you can't know for sure. At one point, Dirk Mathison, who was the bureau chief for People Magazine got into one of the events at Bohemian Grove. Mathison's story was never published.

It is likely that part of the reason the story was never published was that Time Warner executives were at the Grove, or perhaps because CBS board members, or the Associated Press president was there. Whatever the cause was or who pulled the plug, the story was stopped and Mathison's article on what happens at Bohemian Grove California was never published.
