BENEFITS OF LIMITED GOVERNMENT AND WHAT IT CAN OFFER

Understanding the Benefits of Limited Government and the Fact That it Comes in Various Shapes and Sizes.

Governments came in many sizes but you should understand the benefits of limited government.

Lord Acton summed it up nicely,

'Power corrupts and the corrupt people are the ones most likely to seek power.'

That's because others have no reason to rule in order to live their lives and achieve their dreams.

So what does this mean?

It means that your government is never really there for your good and will at some point turn to protect and maximize itself the ruler, no matter what the cost to you the citizen.

Because government is essentially evil, the smaller the government the better for the people, which is why the benefits of a limited government are so clear.

The original government was just that, a limited government and there were plenty of benefits when combined with the original United States of America Constitution.

While the benefits of limited government are many the key benefit and the most important by far is freedom.

The Constitution provided us the freedom to make choices right or wrong and to make as many choices as we like.

Every one was equal and that's what the Constitution meant when it talked about equality.

The benefits of limited government ensure that there are no boundaries overstepped and thus our right to freedom is never abused.

The problem is modern government does overstep its boundaries and does create legislation that actually harms us rather than helps us.

Did you know that once upon a time there were no income taxes in the United States?

The benefits of a limited government can easily be seen in this example of efficiency.

If one party does just what it needs to do to get by, and so does the second party, there is no incentive to do anything differently, no need to do any more or any less.

WHAT RON PAUL THINKS OF LIMITED GOVERNMENT

ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF LIMITED GOVERNMENT

In fact, we'll come together because we can benefit each other and our overall economic future. For example, party A doesn't have to produce more to support the welfare system nor does it have to produce less so that it can rely on the welfare system.

Neither party will do anything riskier than necessary balancing between success and failure, since there is no one to bail them out. Today we seem to be seeing a great deal of this bailout mentality such as with the auto industry and even the banks.

THE PATRIOT ACT

As the government grows and becomes far too top heavy we also see draconian legislation such as the Patriot Act or the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Both were highly controversial but none more than the Patriot Act, signed into law by President Bush in 2001. It is felt that the Patriot Act set civil liberties back.

There are serious flaws that threaten the very core of freedom as we know it. The act puts your tax records, medical records, the books you buy, and your entire life under scrutiny. It even provides the government with the power to enter your home without just reason and to conduct secret searches.

You will quickly agree the benefits of a limited government from early days far exceed the over protectionism of today's government.
