While the American auto maker bailout takes care of the wealthy elite, average Americans struggle to hold onto their jobs and their homes.
It seems the ailing auto industry and its executives are going to be rewarded for poor management, unworkable decisions, the inability to determine what the future demands of the consumer will be, and plainly an ineptness to do the jobs they were hired to do.
While the rest of us, who work hard, keep our noses to the grind, and attempt to stay ahead of the destruction of the recession; will be punished losing our homes, our jobs, destroying our credit score, and facing a path of destruction.
To add insult to injury we the taxpayers who have enough of our own debt problems are going to be on the hook for bailing out the multi billion dollar auto industry.
And if as an American citizen you've managed to hold on and do well for yourself why should you have to share your earnings from your hard work.
It seems we may be on the road to nationalization and no ones even putting up a fuss.
We are so busy becoming outraged about the bailout, that we are actually missing the big picture.
The auto industry is only one element of the current financial bailout.
The banking industry, the insurance industry, the housing industry, and the medical industry are all being bailout out by the government.
Whether it's the auto maker bailout or one of the many others, these bailouts are actually buyouts leaving the government owning these industries.
There is quite a bit of confusion when it comes to the auto bailouts. There's a falsehood out there. The three American automakers are actually global companies with their head offices in American and much of their assets and production overseas.
Bailing out the American auto makers might not be so hard to digest if it was actually helping American companies and American workers. What we are doing is paying the three big Auto giants money to stay afloat, yet they are cutting thousands of American jobs and continuing to downsize their American operations, while their overseas operations grow and prosper.
This makes little sense. Don't you think the bailout should be contingent on keeping each and every auto worker employed. American companies aren't really American anymore and the government should be protecting the American people not the wealthy elite.
Of course that's never going to happen, because the government is really taking care of the wealthy elite.
Today the government is involved in a number of controversial bailouts including the auto industry, financial industry, insurance industry, mortgage industry, and the list goes on. When will it end? And how much will it ultimately cost the taxpayer?
One of the most unsettling elements of the auto maker bailout is that behind the scenes there have been an awful lot of stocks changing hands at junk prices, and when the government completes the bailouts, the very wealthy elite are going to make massive profits on the backs of the American people. When does it end?
